Sides
aka Audition sides · Shoot-day sides
A printable extract of just the scenes shooting today (or the scenes an actor reads in an audition), formatted to fit half-page sides for the cast.
Sides are the working pages crews and casting directors actually use. Shoot-day sides extract today's scenes from the screenplay onto folded half-pages so the cast can carry them on set without lugging the full script. Audition sides extract the scenes an actor reads for casting, often with a brief director's note. StoryboardCanvas Script generates both with one click — shoot-day sides pull scenes by /shoot-day; audition sides pull scenes by /cast role assignment and watermark them to the actor's name so leaked drafts trace back.

Every sides we generate stays linked to the rest of the project — change a scene heading and the sides updates automatically. No re-import. No copy-paste. One project file from script to wrap.
